The Head of the Political and Information Department of the Women's Sector in the Yemeni Islah Party, Basar Musbbah, demanded to empower and enhance the presence of al-Mahra's women in all governmental and private institutions and qualify them in various disciplines and encourage them to provide the best always.
In her speech at a ceremony to the Islah Party on Saturday in the city of al-Ghaydha, she said, on the occasion of the Yemeni revolution and the anniversary of the Independence Day of November 30, the Yemeni and Mahri women have played a large role since independence until today in participating along with the man politically and socially in all fields.
She pointed out that the Islahi women in al-Mahra stand with their female counterparts in all components and work to serve the community in various fields through seeking and working with all forces and sectors of women in the governorate to the strengthening of the role of women politically and socially.
She noted that the Islah Party had been giving early attention to women and their issues in the belief of their role and status in society.
She saluted all the Yemeni women who lost their husbands and children in the face of the coup against the legitimacy, as well as she saluted the mothers of the detainees and prisoners, demanding the legitimacy and the Arab Alliance to seek to activate the file of prisoners and detainees and those who forcibly disappeared to return to their families.
She called on Islahi women throughout Yemen, and particularly al-Mahra, to play their role towards their country and governorates according to their abilities and skills.
Finally, she called on all women's sectors to enhance the unity of women in the governorate, whether in parties, components or in civil society organizations and strive to preserve the status of al-Mahra's women.
