The Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah al-Yadumi, emphasized that the Islah Party supports all efforts made regarding the process of establishing comprehensive and sustainable peace in Yemen based on the three terms of reference.

During the meeting that brought him together with the Ambassador of the United States of America to our country, Stephen Fagin, today, Wednesday, and in the presence of a member of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Ahmed al-Qumayri, al-Yadumi made it clear that the Islah Party - within the framework of the components of Yemeni legitimacy - supports peace efforts and an end to the war sparked by the Houthi militia.

He pointed out that ending the war and returning to the political process requires the United Nations and the international community to practice more pressure on the Houthi militia to end its coup and implement international legitimacy resolutions related to Yemen.

He stressed that the Houthi militia is working to prolong the war, which has doubled the suffering of the Yemeni people, who are suffering from the coup and the war waged by the militia against the Yemenis and targeting their state, lives, freedoms, and money.

Al-Yadumi stressed that the international efforts exerted should lead to achieving a just peace that achieves the supreme interest of Yemen and the interests and free will of the Yemeni people so that the cycle of violence will not be repeated, pointing out that the Yemeni people are struggling to restore the state, security, stability, political life, democracy, and achieve freedom.

Al-Yadumi renewed his affirmation of the Islah Party's support for the Presidential Leadership Council in carrying out its responsibilities entrusted to it, foremost of which is restoring the state, lifting the sufferings of the Yemeni people, its keenness on the unity of the components of legitimacy and contributing to achieving peace that achieves freedom and dignity for the Yemeni people.

He praised the position of the United States of America in support of Yemen and its efforts to achieve peace, calling on all friends to support the Yemeni government and the unity of its components, as well as to exert more pressure on the Iranian regime to stop its support for the militias that destroyed Yemen and destabilized security and stability in the region.

For his part, the US ambassador praised the positive and responsible Yemeni Islah Party's dealings with the efforts made regarding the peace process in Yemen, stressing his country's keenness to support the government, calling at the same time to preserve the unity of the Presidential Leadership Council in order to contribute to achieving peace.
