The Deputy Head of the Information Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Adnan Al-Audayni, confirmed that the political vision of the Islah Party was formed and matured in the midst of a practical experience that works to constantly enrich the political process.

In his paper entitled “The Islah Party and the Concept of the State,” which he read within the symposium “Studying the Experiences of Islamic Movements in Politics and Governance.. A Critical Theory and the Lessons Learned", which was held yesterday, Tuesday in Istanbul, Turkey, and set up by the Center for Studies of Islam and International Affairs, al-Audayni pointed to a trend in generating political visions, on the grounds that reality and dealing with its developments, its transformations and responding to them in a way that achieves and preserves the popular will, in contrast to visions of the political ideologies emanating from transnational nations and peoples.

The deputy head of the Information and Culture Department of the Islah Party touched on the factors that contributed to the maturation of the concept of the state in the Yemeni Islah party, including on the social level in the deeper battle against the imamate, the movement of knowledge and educational struggle to limit its influence, the adoption of constitutional formulas and a ruling legal system for equality and the overthrow of privileges.

He noted the vast national space and a major political change made by Yemeni unity and the association of the unity with freedom, which produced a political awareness that had the greatest impact on the Islah Party's vision for the Yemeni state and contributed to the method of dealing with subsequent events.

And al-Audayni talked about the stages that the Islah Party contributed to formulating, starting with the emergence of political parties, electoral processes and political alliances.

And he said that the Islah Party remained aligned with the state and its legitimacy, which is the source of the people as a criterion and regulating for its general course throughout its experience.

Al-Audayni made it clear that the Islah Party was keen in its political work from the beginning to differentiate between the authority and the state and not to confuse them in order to avoid marginalizing society or threatening the state.

He pointed out that it is not possible to understand the transformations that the Islah Party went through when its reading from outside its vision of the concept of the state, which is the vision that was formed by its practical experience, making it clear that it owes it to its existence, birth and the electoral mechanism that turned it into an influential figure in its equation, and freed it from all political taboos and launched for it the movement and popular expansion.

And the deputy head of the Information and Culture Department of the Islah Party touched on the nature and privacy of the Yemeni battle, whether in the pre-revolutions of September 26, 1962 and October 14, 1963, which are the gates to victory for Yemen or the stages beyond.

And al-Audayni stressed the two most important conditions necessary for the Yemeni state. The first is represented in the neutralization of sovereign institutions from the political competition and their liberation from the control of rulers and authoritarian forces, while the second is represented in that the opposition does not go to the fragmentation of society into its primary components as a result, it is barricaded behind sovereign institutions.

And he stressed that the sovereign institutions and the unity of society should remain outside the field of political conflict until the Yemeni state achieves its existence and stability.
