The chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Muhammad al-Yadumi, denounced the silence of government agencies, security apparatus and political parties, regarding the crime of the assassination of a Party leader in the interim capital, Aden.

In a post on his Facebook account today, Thursday, al-Yadumi said, “It has been more than twenty-four hours since the assassination and martyrdom of Mr. Bilal Mansour al-Maysari, may God Almighty have mercy on him, in a broad daylight and in the heart of the interim capital, Aden, without hearing or seeing any reaction from the brave security men or the governor of the Governorate..!, as if the person who was killed and assassinated is not a citizen and the state apparatus has not held responsibility towards him..!

He added, "The worst of all is that no condemnation has been issued by the parties with whom we share a single government, or by parties and organizations outside the framework of this government.

The chairman of the Islah Party said, "This silence that raises more than one question mark and exclamation point, either the perpetrator is known to them and they fear his conviction or pointing to the killer even just pointing at him with an accusing finger, or that they acknowledge this type of crime and coexists with it naturally!!"

He concluded by saying, "We tried to find an excuse for these people, but we did not find...! Is it the helplessness that controls them, or is it the fear of the killer??!!

Yesterday, Wednesday, gunmen assassinated Mr. Bilal Mansour al-Maysari, one of the leaders of the Islah Party in Aden, in front of his house in the city of Mansoura in the Aden Governorate, in a terrorist crime that comes within a long series of political assassinations that targeted dozens of people from Aden and other Governorates, most of whom are leaders and cadres of the Islah Party.

As a result, the Yemeni Islah party demanded, in its statement, the United Nations and the Security Council to form an international committee to investigate the crimes of assassination that took place in the city of Aden since 2016 until today, and to prosecute the perpetrators as war criminals.

It also called on the government and its security services to play their role in prosecuting the perpetrators and bringing them to justice so that they can receive their deterrent punishment, and to quickly conduct investigations into all the assassination crimes and to reveal all those who stand behind them and those who incite violence and consider the blood of the people cheap.
