The local Shura Council of the Islah Party of Mahra held its regular session in Mahrah Governorate (Al-Ghaydhah City) on Saturday morning, Shaaban 2, 1446 AH, corresponding to February 1, 2025 AD, under the slogan "Together to restore the state and build a federal Yemen", and based on the Islah Party’s Statute and internal regulations. This session comes in light of the difficult living and economic conditions experienced by the people of the country in general and the people of the Governorate in particular, and in light of the low level of income per capita, the collapse of the national currency, and the imposition of restrictions on land and sea ports, which negatively affected the movement of economic and commercial recovery that Mahrah was experiencing.

Given the Yemeni Islah Party's keenness on the principle of Shura within its frameworks and regularity and embodying the principles of the democratic Shura process, the second regular session of the Islah Party's local Shura Council was held. The session began with the national anthem and the Holy Quran. Then, the attendees listened to a speech by the local Shura Council in which the Chairman of the Council, Sheikh Hamoud Muhammad Issa Kalshat, welcomed the attendees and referred to the efforts of the Islah Party in the Governorate in the past period, and the roles it played at the political, social, youth and women's sector levels. After that, the attendees approved the council's agenda, and then the members of the Shura Council listened to a report on the general performance of the Islah Party's executive office during the past period, which was reviewed by the head of the Party's Executive Office, Mr. Salem Ahmed Saqqaf bin Hafeez. Then, the attendees listened to a discussion of the office's report and comments on it by the members. The attendees also listened to the vision of the Islah Party in the Governorate for the year 2025 and the most prominent starting points and political and social path of the party.

After extensive discussions and observations, they were approved with the comments included therein, and the local Shura Council of the Islah Party reached the following decisions and recommendations:

- The local Shura Council emphasizes the national constants and the serious work to restore the state and build a federal Yemen based on the outcomes of the comprehensive National Dialogue Conference and the three references in a way that ensures a fair partnership, compeer, and the necessity of resolving the battle against the terrorist Houthi coup militia that has disrupted political and economic life.

- The Shura Council commends the role of the General Secretariat and the senior leadership bodies of the Islah Party for continuing to perform their national duties and shouldering the burdens of the stage.

- The Shura Council salutes the leadership and bases of the Party for maintaining their commitment to their duties and discipline in the various organizational frameworks and structures of the Party in the Governorate, as well as their contribution to the regularity of the different institutions and bodies of the Party despite all the challenges they faced, calling on them to exert more efforts and unite with the masses.

- The Shura Council commends the heroic and honorable positions shown by the heroes of the National Army and the Popular Resistance on all fronts and fields in confronting the Houthi militia, praying to God to have mercy on the martyrs and heal the wounded. The party demands the release of prisoners, detainees, and forcibly disappeared persons, foremost among them Mr. Muhammad Qahtan.

- The Shura Council is relieved by the classification of the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization through the executive order issued by the US administration, calling for this classification to be a decisive step towards ending the Houthi coup and restoring the Yemeni state and its legitimate institutions.

- The Shura Council expresses its gratitude to the people of Mahrah Governorate with their various tribes, affiliations, and societal segments for their role in maintaining the stability of security in the Governorate, community coexistence, the cohesion of state institutions, and resistance to all attempts that seek to split the social fabric.

- The Shura Council calls on the local authority to strengthen and activate customs, sea and land ports, provide facilities to investors to revive economic activity and enhance revenues to serve development in the Governorate.

- The Shura Council calls on the local authority to improve and find sustainable solutions for electricity, water, and health services, alleviate the burdens on citizens, and address the damage resulting from the disasters and hurricanes that the Governorate witnessed and have not been addressed to date.

- The Council expresses its gratitude to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman for standing by the Governorate and providing support and assistance in the humanitarian, security, and development fields, which contributed to alleviating the suffering of society.

- The Council calls on the local authority to activate political work that supports legitimacy and achieving the principle of political partnership in the Governorate.

- The Council commends the security and military institutions for playing their role in maintaining security and stability despite the scarcity of resources and the suffering in implementing the security plan and combating smuggling crimes, drug gangs, and contraband, calling on them to do more of their religious duty in establishing justice and achieving security and stability.

- The Shura Council calls on the presidential leadership and the government to quickly find solutions to the economic situation, stop the deterioration of the national currency, and show the liberated Governorates as a model to be emulated.

- The Shura Council warns of the danger of divisions and disputes that destabilize the security and stability enjoyed by the Governorate, calling on national official, partisan, social, intellectual, and media bodies to work to stop this by confronting it with continuous community awareness and achieving national belonging to preserve the identity and privacy of Al Mahrah Governorate.

- The Council renews its condemnation of the crimes of the Israeli occupation and the brutal attacks committed by the Zionist entity against our brothers in Gaza and the West Bank, stressing the right of the Palestinian people to resist the Zionist occupation until the liberation of their land and the establishment of their Palestinian state.

- The Council blesses the agreement to stop the war on Gaza, considering it a strategic victory for the resistance and the Palestinian people, calling for the implementation of the agreement and the reconstruction of Gaza.

- The Council blesses the victory of the Syrian people over the criminal Assad gang and the end of the subordination of this great people to the mullahs of Iran.

- Finally, the Shura Council of the Islah Party expresses its gratitude to the organizing committees of the extraordinary session and salutes them for their efforts to make it a success.
