Mahrah Islah Shura Council calls for keeping the Governorate away from controversies

The local Shura Council of the Islah Party of Mahra held its regular session headed by Sheikh Hamoud Muhammad Issa Kalshat, Chairman of the Council, under the slogan "Together to restore the state and build a federal Yemen."

In his opening speech, Kalshat stressed that Islah Party will continue cooperating with the honorable people in its decisive battle to end the Houthi coup, restore state institutions, strengthen the principle of national consensus, and unify the republican ranks.

He pointed out that the critical stage that the country is going through requires all components to unify the republican ranks, avoid internal disputes, work to liberate the remaining lands of the country, and achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people from the south to the north.

Kalshat pointed out that Mahrah is in dire need of unity, unity of ranks and words, maintaining its security and stability, and keeping it away from conflicts. He also called on the local authority, party leadership, and social figures to put the public interest of Al Mahrah and the future of its people first.

He renewed his call to reject the extremist takfiri discourse and adopt the moderate religious discourse, which enhances the unity of the people of Mahra and the diligent work in a way that leads to the public interest of the governorate, away from any other calculations.

Mahra Islah Shura Council blessed the formation of the National Bloc of Political Parties and Components, calling at the same time for the establishment of branches in all liberated Governorates to achieve joint action, stressing that the Islah Party will continue to defend national constants and strengthen the unity of the national ranks.

The Council reviewed the Executive Office's performance report, praising the efforts made during the previous period. It also stressed the need to address issues and advance party work in various fields.

Its final statement emphasized several local and national issues, reaffirming the Islah Party’s position on various issues.

The Council stressed that the convening of this session comes based on the Islah Party’s Statute and internal regulations, despite the difficult economic and living conditions suffered by the people of the governorate and the country in general.

The Council warned of the danger of divisions and tensions that appear from time to time in Mahrah Governorate, calling on official, partisan, social, intellectual, and national media bodies to play their role in addressing these challenges. At the same time, it praised the role of the security and military services and the people of the governorate with their various tribes and affiliations in maintaining the security and stability of the governorate.

The leadership and members of the Islah Party affirm their commitment to their responsibilities and discipline within the frameworks and organizational structures of the Islah Party in the governorate, and their contribution to the continuity of the work of the various Islah Party institutions and bodies despite the challenges they face.

The Council called for strengthening and activating customs, sea and land ports, providing facilities for investors, improving services such as electricity, water, and health, and alleviating the burdens on citizens.

The Council stressed strengthening its relationship with branches of political parties and social and class components in Mahrah, activating joint political work and opening up to everyone in a way that serves the Governorate and the country.

The Council also called on the local authority, the government, and the Presidential Council to quickly find solutions to the economic situation, improve living and service conditions, stop tampering with public money, activate oversight agencies, and refer the corrupt to the competent authorities.

It praised the heroic positions shown by the heroes of the National Army and the Popular Resistance on various fronts, calling for the rapid release of prisoners, detainees, and forcibly disappeared persons from the prisons of the Houthi militia, headed by Mohammed Qahtan.

The Council stressed the defense of the state's constants and the serious endeavor to restore the state and build a federal Yemen by the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, ensuring fair and equal partnership and resolving the fight against the terrorist Houthi coup militias that confused political and economic life.

It also praised the role of the General Secretariat of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform and the senior leadership bodies and the continued undertaking of their national tasks and bearing the burdens of the stage.

It praised the brotherly stance of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman in various fields, appreciating these efforts for their role in alleviating the suffering of the people of the governorate and the country in general.

It also welcomed the US administration's classification of the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization, calling for the necessity of this decision to be the beginning of resolving the battle and ending the coup.

The Council renewed its condemnation of the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the people of Gaza and the West Bank, the latest of which was the massacre in the town of Tammun, stressing the right of the Palestinians to regain their state. The Council considered the cessation of the war a victory for the will of the resistance throughout the war and congratulated the victory of the Syrian people over the criminal Assad gang and the end of their subordination to the mullahs of Iran.
