The Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Muhammad al-Yadumi, said, "Re-achieving the unity of Yemen and the Republic has constituted the two most important gains achieved for our people over the long decades of struggle because unity and the Republic have two values that the world deals with today as a civilizational achievement and for which many of its efforts are devoted."

On the occasion of the 33rd National Day of the Republic of Yemen, May 22, and on behalf of the Yemeni Islah Party, al-Yadumi congratulated the steadfast and struggling Yemeni people, the political leadership, the army forces, security, and valiant resistance, praising the sacrifices of the free fighters that culminated in such an immortal day.

Al-Yadumi stressed that - as Yemenis - the republic gave us equal citizenship and Yemeni unity gave us freedom, and we should all preserve these gains and not abandon them under any pretext. The duty of time makes us obligated to abandon differences, overcome hatred, mobilize efforts, and unite energies more than ever before in order to confront the existential threat to our country represented by the Houthi militia.

He added, "These meanings and others are understood by the Yemeni people from east to west and from south to north, and the Yemeni Islah Party was only part of the people. Therefore, it does not seem strange the firm and principled position of the Islah Party regarding unity under the federal state that guarantees partnership, equality, and a fair distribution of power and wealth without marginalization, discrimination, or exclusion.

Al-Yadumi begged God to have mercy on the first fighters in the south and north of Yemen who made their sacrifices at the dawn of the twenty-second of May 1990. And he begged God to have mercy on the righteous martyrs who watered the soil of the homeland with their pure blood, and to heal the wounded and protect the heroes who continue to struggle in locations of honor and heroism to defend freedom Dignity, honor and glory of the Yemeni people.
