The head of the Union of Marginalized People called on the UN envoy to intervene immediately because they face ethnic cleansing

Numan al-Huthayfi, head of the National Union of the Marginalized and a member of the National Dialogue Conference, said that black-skinned (marginalized) Yemenis and African refugees are facing a process of ethnic cleansing by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, which has recently pushed hundreds of them to the front lines.

Al-Huthayfi called on the United Nations and its special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths and the international community to immediately intervene to protect them from the ethnic liquidation to which they are exposed as a moral duty and a human and international right that have been affirmed by international humanitarian legislation, charters and treaties.

In an interview with the althawra-news.net website, al-Huthayfi said that the Houthi militia suffered tremendous casualties recently on the battlefronts in Marib, al-Jawf and al-Bayda. And in order to reduce the bill for their losses, these militias have resorted to black-skinned people in their areas of control and forcing them to fight with them on the fronts, taking advantage of their difficult living conditions.

The head of the National Union of the Marginalized People confirmed that the Houthi militia is pushing the deceived children and youth of black-skinned people as human shields by making them on the front lines of the fighting while its members remain at the back of the front, which led to the deaths of many of them and wounded.

Al-Huthayfi said that the Houthi militia is pushing the simpletons of Yemen people towards death only, and nothing but death because it believes that these deaths are not a loss for them as long as the blood is from the tribesman and the weapons from the state stores that they looted.

During the past four days, the Houthi militia had held funerals for a number of black-skinned people who were killed on the fronts, including the child Faris Mabrouk Mubarak al-Sawd (9 years old) and the child Mutlaq al-Tawil (13 years old), while the bodies of dozens of them are still on the frontlines.

Al-Huthayfi commented on the killing of the two children, saying that the Houthi militia kills our children without any sin they committed, except that they found themselves under its influence, considering what the black-skinned or marginalized people are exposed to is a disaster of the disasters that befell them and all Yemenis.

It should be noted that the Houthi militia resorted to recruiting marginalized Yemenis, refugees, and illegal immigrants from Africa on its fronts, and it had carried out a campaign to recruit them under the name of "Bilal's descendants."
