Adnan al-Audayni, deputy head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, said that the leader Muhammad Qahtan reckons his “daringness in defying the familiar and insisting on jumping over obstacles and opening prospects for those around him, when political relations were locked in ideological positions and narrow calculations, which Muhammad Qahtan worked to approach in a different way, moving it from a state of awaiting and conflict into a state of juxtaposition and cooperation.”

In his publication on Facebook, he added: "He was one who created what Qahtan wanted to move from a policy of confrontation to a state of political juxtaposition, and from contrast and zero conflict to accepting the other according to that concept of juxtaposition."

He continued, "Thus, Muhammad Qahtan was expressing his view of the future of relations between the political forces. The juxtaposition here is borrowed from the social environment, which is a familiar image that enables everyone to imagine the form that the political juxtaposition will be inside the country."

He stated that this juxtaposition opens broad prospects for political alliances, which are, in the words of Qahtan, the fruit of the meeting of incomplete wills that lead to the birth of a complete national will. According to this perspective, any of the existing entities cannot form alone the complete will of the country, because each party is nothing but an incomplete will that awaits other wills to become at the national completion level.

He added, "Today we may not be able to meet with Qahtan and benefit from him as a person, but it does not excuse us from activating his vision and making the way for it to work within the legitimacy front, which is in dire need to restore relations and get out of the state of fighting words and ruminating grudges and foolish acts of revenge that do not solve a problem as much as they perpetuate it."

This comes coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the abduction of the man of dialogue and peace, the leader in the Yemeni Islah party, Muhammad Qahtan.

In a statement, the Yemeni Islah Party called on the United Nations, the Security Council and all humanitarian organizations to move quickly and urgently to save the politician, Muhammad Qahtan, who is forcibly absent despite his health conditions and aging, especially with what the world suffers today due to the spread of the new COVID-19 virus.
