The Specialized Penal Court in the interim capital of Aden held its first session to try a number of leaders of the Houthi coup militia accused of the coup against the constitutional institutions in case No. 165 serious offenses.

The indictment included 32 persons from the leaders of the Houthi coup militia, the first of whom was Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the last of whom was Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor.

The wanted Houthi leaders for trial in Aden are:

3- Abdullah Yahya al-Hatimi

5- Abdul Khaleq Badr Addin al-Houthi

11- Yousef Abdullah Hussein

16- Yahya Amir Addin al-Houthi

17- Muhammad Abdul Karim

During the session, the criminal prosecution headed by its chief judge, Wahib Fadl, presented the indictment, in the presence of correspondents of various media outlets, local and Arab satellite channels, and a number of citizens present to listen to the hearing.

After hearing the indictment, the court decided to announce the accused and obliged them to attend the next session, and the court adjourned its first session, to be resumed its next session on July 1, 2020.
