Member of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Head of the Parliamentary Bloc, MP Abdul-Razzaq Al-Hijri, met today, His Excellency the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to our country, Kang Yong.

In the meeting that was attended by the Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Bloc Head of the Executive Office for the Islah Party in Aden governorate Representative Insaf May and Deputy Head of the Information and Culture Department Adnan al-Audaini, the Islah Party expressed its solidarity with friends in China in facing the Corona epidemic, and offered condolences to the casualties.

During the meeting, a number of issues of common concern were discussed by the two parts and they talked about developments related to the Riyadh Agreement and the reasons for the failure of its implementation.

The Islah Party reaffirmed the importance of the full implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, as an important entry point for the return of the legitimate state institutions to the interim capital Aden, and enabling the government to carry out its duties in managing public affairs, providing services, controlling security, so that it is free to work in development and countering terrorism.

Al-Hijri expressed his regret for the obstacles facing the Riyadh Agreement, expressing his confidence in the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sponsoring the Agreement in order to remove all obstacles.

The Islah Party praised the close relationship with the Communist Party of China, appreciating the role of China's participation in the political process in Yemen, noting what China is providing to Yemen in the economic and development fields.

Al-Hijri also stressed the desire for the Islah Party to achieve real and sustainable peace that ends the coup and ensures the return of the state and its institutions and the cessation of the use of arms and violence by the Houthi coup militias, stressing the importance of the three references as a basis for peace.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Islah Party and its leadership and all the Yemeni entities that solidarity with China in facing the Corona disaster, reviewing his country's efforts in providing assistance and support to Yemeni students.

Ambassador Kang Yong praised the stances of the Islah Party in support of the peace process in Yemen, pointing to the convergence of views on many issues, especially with regard to the full implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, because of its importance in resolving the southern issue and in resolving the Yemeni issue in general.

He reiterated his country's readiness to support the comprehensive peace process in Yemen on the basis of the three references, expressing China's aspiration to expand the horizons of cooperation and partnership with Yemen and the participation in the reconstruction.
