Unknown gunmen assassinated this morning a leader in the Yemeni Islah party in al-Dhali' governorate, north of the interim capital, Aden.

Local sources reported that gunmen ride a motorcycle opened fire on the Islahi leader Abdul-Raqeeb Qayzaa, in front of the University of Science and Technology in al-Dali' city, which led to his immediate death.

Qayzaa used to be the presidency of the Chamber of Commerce in the city of al-Dali'.

Assassinations targeting the leaders and activists of the Islah party in the governorates of Aden and al-Dhali' are continued, in light of the great failure of the security services in controlling and monitoring criminals.

Qayzaa is the third leader to have been betrayed, as was preceded by the assassination of leader Khaled Ghayman on July 25, 2019, and journalist Zaki al-Saqaldi on October 5, 2018, in the same governorate.

Earlier, the General-Secretariat of the Islah Party called for the formation of an investigation committee from the government and the Arab alliance to uncover the circumstances of the assassinations file targeting the leaders and members of the Islah Party and present them to the public opinion.

And the Islah Party expressed its deep condemnation and regret at the continuation of the series of terrorism, which systematically and semi-daily assassinates reformers and resistance fighters who were the first to resist the Houthi coup.

The Islah Party stressed the necessity of pursuing the killers, apprehending the criminals and bringing them to justice in order to receive their deterrent punishment, especially since these criminal acts have been repeated in ways that do not imply that they are incidental events.
