The Secretary-General of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Abdulwahab Al-Ansi, met on Monday with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to our country Kang Yong.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues and developments.

Al-Ansi reiterated the position of the Islah Party in support of a peaceful solution based on the three references, so as to achieve the end of the coup and restore the state.

He pointed out that the Riyadh Agreement represented a good platform for uniting Yemeni forces to end the coup and activate state institutions in the interim capital Aden, under the umbrella of the legitimacy.

The Secretary-General appreciated the firm and principled stance of the Republic of China in support of the legitimacy and the Yemeni government, as well as its role in supporting the government and areas of development.

He expressed his hope that in the future China will play a bigger role in supporting Yemen's development.

For his part, the Chinese Ambassador reiterated his country's stance in support of the legitimacy in Yemen and its support for efforts to bring peace according to the three references of peaceful solution agreed upon.
